The staff at Mercy Primary Care Center truly makes
the difference in the care that we provide by serving
with passion and compassion. Each month we highlight
the achievements of one of our staff members through The Star in You program.
Mrs. Shaw is the Health Educator for Mercy Primary Care Center. She has been employed with Mercy for six years. Mrs. Shaw is married and is the proud mother of two daughters and four wonderful grandchildren. She also has three ‘adopted’ sons (employees at MPCC).
Mrs. Shaw educates the patients at MPCC about their health and does community outreach with the senior groups at McAuley Commons and St. Rose teaching them on health topics. She also does outreach in the community, providing health education for community groups and organizations.
The staff at Mercy likes to think of Mrs. Shaw as a thoughtful and kind individual who is always willing to lend a helping hand. She may not know it, but she has been named the “Clinic Police. She checks out what is going on around the Center and if it’s not right, she will let you know. She makes sure that everything is in order for the patients of MPCC. Mrs. Shaw is a dependable person. She makes sure that everyone receives a birthday card on his or her birthday. Mrs. Shaw is always looking out for the staff at Mercy. If she sees a sale at a store you might like, you can come into work and find a coupon either on your desk or in your mailbox. And let’s not forget to make mention that she also makes good cakes especially her famous punch bowl cake. Mrs. Shaw we would like to say a BIG THANK YOU for all that you do.
