Marlene Thorne
CHRYSTAL STAR |
Marlene Thorne is the Pharmacist for Mercy Primary
Care Center. She joined MPCC in 2001. Marlene
is an inspiring wife and an awesome mom to her son
and dog (Oscar).
Marlene goes out of her way to make sure our patients
have the medications they need and to help avoid
any interactions. Marlene is very considerate
to the patients needs. She counsels each patient
regarding their medication, taking time to explain
the medications to patients and answer their questions. Marlene
is very knowledgeable and dedicated to her job. She
often works from home to make sure everything is
done. Marlene continuously looks at our cost
efficiency to help us serve as many people as possible.
Marlene has a very kind heart is committed to serving
the community above and beyond her role at Mercy
Primary Care. In her spare time, she volunteers
her expertise in pharmacy at the Cabrini Clinic in
Detroit, Michigan. Marlene also belongs to
organization called Chicks for Charities, which donates
time and resource to those in need. Marlene
is also very creative and talented when it comes
to making jewelry. She is part owner of “Crystal
Closet”. The Crystal Closet creates beautiful
jewelry, which is sold at showings such as craft
fairs and the proceeds go the Mercy Primary Care
SPA program. Marlene has also supported the
SPA program by providing much needed supplies, such
as razors and coffee.
In addition to Marlene being the loving, caring
and giving individual that she is, Marlene is always
willing to help whenever help is needed. Thank
You Marlene for being True Blue co-worker and a friend.
