Detroit Eastern Market Farm Stand - Healthy Food comes to YOU!

The farm stand will be at the entrance of the Samaritan Center (5555 Conner, Detroit, MI) every Wednesday (11AM - 2PM) for the months of June through September.

The farm stand project was started in the summer of 2010 and is one of many projects conducted by the Eastern Market Corporation that demonstrates their commitment to making fresh, locally grown, healthy foods more accessible to the people of Detroit. Items are subject to change every week, but some items that will make an appearance include seasonal produce and pantry items such as jams, cheese, honey, nut butters, salad dressings, and organic dry grains & beans. Michigan Fresh Frozen products processed by Forgotten Harvest will also be available, such as frozen blueberries, broccoli, corn, and peaches. You can purchase these items using cash, credit/debit, EBT/SNAP, WIC Project FRESH, Market Fresh, and Double Up Food Bucks.

Eastern Market Corporation has been in Detroit since 1891 with the mission of mobilizing leadership and resources to achieve stakeholders' vision for the Eastern Market District and making the Eastern Market the undisputed center for fresh and nutritious food in southeast Michigan.
